In addition to twin walls, we also offer ceramic precast walls and beams. With this, we respond to the demand for more efficient construction methods and to the growing trend toward prefabrication in construction, ranging from utility buildings and apartments to combined complex projects. This is always commissioned by contractors and architects.

  • They provide a prefab proposal worked out down to the last detail, assist you with the approval of the drawings and, if required, help with the start-up of the site so that you can look back on a smooth collaboration.

INNOVATIVE CONSTRUCTION

  • At Prefaxis, innovation is in the DNA: Prefaxis is the only company that uses polyurethane to glue prefab walls, thereby significantly reducing the lead time.
  • Prefaxis is also distinguished by the almost infinite possibilities of applying surface structures in industrial concrete.
  • Our engineering office has fully embraced BIM, making most complex projects no problem for us.

The Ploegsteert Group is a leading producer of building materials, and includes 3 companies: the Ploegsteert brickworks, Prefaxis and Douterloigne concrete. Each of them functions as an independent entity with its own points of contact and specific product knowledge:

  • Ploegsteert Steenbakkerijen nv (since 1922) has been producing ceramic building materials (fast building bricks, facing bricks, vaults and lintels) for more than 100 years and also offers innovative building solutions.
  • Prefaxis nv (since 2012) groups our precast solutions: twin walls and ceramic precast walls.
  • Douterloigne beton nv (since 2020) is your partner in concrete vaults.

The family-owned group employs 261 people on 4 production sites in Belgium. Our products are mainly distributed on the Belgian, French, Dutch markets and in the United Kingdom.
